Review: RevoColour Romantic Sweet Choco
First of all, Happy Jubilee! Cheers for not only one but two fewer working days.
As much as I would like this post to be out soonest, honeycolor website was under construction so might as well wait out... (Okay, I take that back.)
Other than reading the Uzumaki about the crazy spiral stories, I have been cutting myself slack for review columns and some other serious business but here is a review for RevoColour Romantic Sweet Choco.
I have got this off from Honeycolor at US 19.12 + US 7.90 (shipping).
Comfort: These lenses are relatively comfortable, just that towards the end of the day it can be a bit dry. (That is coming from someone who wears them for more than 12 hours.)
Size: The size is exactly what I asked for - nothing too overwhelming or underwhelming.
Colour: The colour is typical of chocolate brown colour, and like your typical two tone coloured lenses, which is fine. Two toned coloured lenses looks more natural for almost black eyes anyway. The gradient gives more depth to the colour, which turns out more subtle in the eyes.
Overall: ⋆⋆⋆⋆
I love how subtle the colours are, and these lenses are reasonably comfortable. Thus, four stars!

Sexylook Strawberry Blackhead Pore Cleanser Set
Review: Sexylook Strawberry Blackhead Pore Cleanser Set
On my mission to achieving perfect skin, one of the skin problems faced by many is no different for me - blackheads and whiteheads. Most of them sits around the nose and chin area, and they look unsightly.
On my mission to achieving perfect skin, one of the skin problems faced by many is no different for me - blackheads and whiteheads. Most of them sits around the nose and chin area, and they look unsightly.
Today's product review would be on Sexylook Strawberry Blackhead Pore Cleanser Set. What caught my attention were the amount of products to deliver the promise of blackhead removal.
Let's walk through the steps!
1) Sebum Softener
This product is supposed to penetrate into your skin and allow easy removal for blackheads, and whatnot. I was actually half expecting the product to work like Cure Natural Aqua Gel or marvel gels that slough off the older layer of skin but, turns out not!
From the naked eye, the transparent and watery liquid did nothing to our skin after 2-3 minutes of massaging.
2) Purifying Mask
Now to the king of the suite, spread a reasonable amount and leave it for 30 minutes. We spread it along the nose region to reach as many blackheads as possible. Brown had some on the chin area.
I was surprised at the colour of the mix. It has a thick gooey consistency, baby pink in colour and smells like something from a candy confectionery. That's okay with us cause anyway it stays on only for 30 minutes.
And now, the waiting game.
3) Purifying Essence
This is almost akin to the Sebum Softener. However, I see visible effects after application. Not sure if it's placebo effect or anything, but it feels almost like a toner on the skin. Fresh and velvety skin it promises, fresh and velvety skin it delivers.
So, as of every review, there is a verdict.
Not sure how well you can make out from these pictures but... I tried.

Price: NT $299 works out to be around SGD $13++

I can't say I am left extremely impressed, that's because Sexylook's range of masks have raised a bar in terms of expectations, but this one does a decent job. Not perfect but compliments to the extensiveness of prepping and protecting the skin after a peel-off session. Not too sure about continuity of usage though, because marvel gel delivers a similar effect fairly quick.

Sexylook Intensive Care Whitening & Sexylook 3D Mask
Well, since I am bored to tears at the moment, I would be writing about some of the facial masks I have purchased from Taiwan. Most girls would already be familiar with My Beauty Diary Series of masks so it will not be taking any space here today.
The first review would be from the Sexylook Intensive Care Black Cotton Mask Series.
Review: Sexylook Intensive Care Whitening
Whitening is germane to me as a naturally fair person so not surprisingly, I picked this pink one out of the rest to brighten and bring the best out of my skin!

Price: As listed on the site, the price is at NT$299 (about SGD 13) for a box of 5, meaning to say 1 single piece would be SGD 2+. Not that it is expensive but cheaper range of masks like My Beauty Diary, cost about half the price.
Product: The mask has a good and soft texture, which is similar to the leader clinic ones I use regularly.
After using these soft and ultra serum absorbing ones, there are no reasons to go back to ordinary sheet masks. They hold fluids better and contours well on the face.
The serum smells mild and pleasant and there are enough to go about. The mask size sits just perfect for my average sized face.
Apart from that, the packaging is cute and feels quite exquisite.
Effect: I was amazed not only by the brightening effect because it is on par with the moisturizing effect. The obvious zit I had faded away and some redness cause by pimples were also erased. The product does more than what it delivers thus I have no qualms on giving it a 5 star rating!

Review: Sexylook 3D Mask
Since I have started on Sexylook I shall end with it too. Another one I would be commenting today is the Sexylook 3D Mask - Pure White Radiance Duo Lifting Mask.
This particular one is not found on Sexylook's site but I got it from the legit cosmetic store in Taiwan.

After:
I was having an outbreak at the point of time. It might not be obvious in pictures but the pimples (especially on forehead) faded quite visibly.
Price: Either NT$299 or NT$399 (roughly SGD 13 to 18) for about 7 or 10 pieces (?) (... I cannot remember the price, above is a rough gauge.)
Product: This one is of a unique structure because it is suppose to have a lifting effect, which explains the extended wings that reaches the neck. I have to admit the initial draw to the product was due to novelty effect since there isn't a lot of lifting masks around.
I felt the previous black mask have a better texture (in terms of sheet material) but this is not too bad either. Serum wise, this pack more punch. This has a more noticeable smell but it is also quite pleasant.
Effect: Lo and behold! Picture taken on another separate day (the first time I tried) after I am left immersely impressed.
I am not too sure about the lifting effect as that is not my main area of concern but... my skin looks a lot brighter after usage, and definitely more moisturized. That aside, my skin was left refined and taut. I even noticed the pores of my cheeks shrank.
This product has made it to my emergency outbreak rescue team for doing such a great job in taming the zits and improving the overall refineness of the skin.
Overall: ⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆
Coming up, I have more Sexy Look masks reviews to be done, but bye for now!

FreshKon Lenses: Mosaic Urban Grey
Review: FreshKon Mosaic Urban Grey
As far as I am lagging behind reviews of beauty products, today I shall make amends with a contact lenses review.
I favor colored contact lenses very much - so much so that I wear them not just to correct my short shortsightedness but more for vanity purposes. Contact lenses plays so much importance to an overall make up look.
I got these at a local optical shop at around SGD $30 per pair (?).
Comfort: I find the lenses blurry and drying. I would not recommend a full day of usage. It dries my eyes a lot and I have to reach for my eyedrops too often.
Size: 14.2mm is a good size for a natural looking effect.
Colour: The colour is a gorgeous shade of grey, with an gradient from grey to black towards the sides. I like lenses with a gradual, undefined rim as it looks more pleasing as oppose to a harsh rim. That's just my personal preference!
Overall: ⋆⋆
Although these lenses nailed the design aspect, there is still room for improvement if we are speaking about comfort level. As much as I like how it looks on my eyes, it is not good enough of a reason to re-purchase.

Daxi Old Street and Cihu, Taiwan
As our EVA air flight enters and exits Taiwan via Taoyuan Airport, we checked in to Taoyuan Hotel for ease of convenience and took advantage of the free ride to the airport.
How does it look?
It turns out to be the most haunted hotel we have slept in so far.
Although Taoyuan City might not be the most talk-about destination in Taiwan, we signed ourselves up by beginning to take the Taiwan Tourism Bus and had Cihu, Daxi Old Street on our list.
Our original intention was to take the Xiao Wulai Shuttle Route but turns out that the aforementioned route is unavailable on weekdays.
The bus which took us to Daxi Old Street from Taoyuan Bus Terminal.
This is Daxi Old Street, most notable for it's old Japanese baroque style architecture. It is also home to traditional trades, the obvious being wood furniture trading.
Apparently, this street is also famous for it's tofu so please try if you're dropping by.
Tofu pudding dessert we had was comforting on a warm day.
More of Daxi Old Street and I:
The long wait for the second leg of bus at the bus terminal near Daxi. The public toilet in the terminal was a total nightmare by the way. (Same goes for Ruifang Railway Station.) If possible, take your business elsewhere!
A run-through of what we did in Cihu:
1) Pose.
2) Take picture.
3) Take more pictures.
4) Walk through the Cihu Sculpture Memorial Park.
All me cause my boyfriend is obviously the more enthusiastic photographer between us.
Still with me?
5) Take a walk through the Cihu Mausoleum in silence.
6) Complain about the weather.
Eugene's reaction towards my photography skills. Sorry babe. Photography is just not one of my talent. :(
8) Check the bus timetable and wait for the bus to leave.
In the nutshell, that is really all from Cihu for us. The mausoleum and sculpture park can be done in a jiffy. Nonetheless, the quietness made our walk pleasurable.
As such I could understand why the late president chose this place as his final resting place.
The most puzzling thing for me is the installment of head statues which feels a bit... out-of-place.
Alright. Time's up.
Will update again!
