Review: RevoColour Romantic Sweet Choco
First of all, Happy Jubilee! Cheers for not only one but two fewer working days.
As much as I would like this post to be out soonest, honeycolor website was under construction so might as well wait out... (Okay, I take that back.)
Other than reading the Uzumaki about the crazy spiral stories, I have been cutting myself slack for review columns and some other serious business but here is a review for RevoColour Romantic Sweet Choco.
I have got this off from Honeycolor at US 19.12 + US 7.90 (shipping).
Comfort: These lenses are relatively comfortable, just that towards the end of the day it can be a bit dry. (That is coming from someone who wears them for more than 12 hours.)
Size: The size is exactly what I asked for - nothing too overwhelming or underwhelming.
Colour: The colour is typical of chocolate brown colour, and like your typical two tone coloured lenses, which is fine. Two toned coloured lenses looks more natural for almost black eyes anyway. The gradient gives more depth to the colour, which turns out more subtle in the eyes.
Overall: ⋆⋆⋆⋆
I love how subtle the colours are, and these lenses are reasonably comfortable. Thus, four stars!

FreshKon Lenses: Mosaic Urban Grey
Review: FreshKon Mosaic Urban Grey
As far as I am lagging behind reviews of beauty products, today I shall make amends with a contact lenses review.
I favor colored contact lenses very much - so much so that I wear them not just to correct my short shortsightedness but more for vanity purposes. Contact lenses plays so much importance to an overall make up look.
I got these at a local optical shop at around SGD $30 per pair (?).
Comfort: I find the lenses blurry and drying. I would not recommend a full day of usage. It dries my eyes a lot and I have to reach for my eyedrops too often.
Size: 14.2mm is a good size for a natural looking effect.
Colour: The colour is a gorgeous shade of grey, with an gradient from grey to black towards the sides. I like lenses with a gradual, undefined rim as it looks more pleasing as oppose to a harsh rim. That's just my personal preference!
Overall: ⋆⋆
Although these lenses nailed the design aspect, there is still room for improvement if we are speaking about comfort level. As much as I like how it looks on my eyes, it is not good enough of a reason to re-purchase.

Geo Lenses: Evevelyn Brown
Review: GEO Evevelyn Brown
Hi! I am back and ready to do a review for a pair of lenses I got from Honeycolor some time ago.
Comfort: I do think that GEO lenses are one of the most comfortable yearly lenses compared to some others I have tried.
Size: The size is at 14.2mm and provides a good amount of enlarging effect. It looks true to size as some other lenses look smaller than their stated diameter, depending on the colored area of the lenses.
Color: The color appears quite vibrant in the picture provided by Honeycolor. It looks true to color when soaked in the solution. However, it appears darker on my eyes as I have almost blackish eyes. I would have preferred it to be lighter and brighter.
Overall: ⋆⋆⋆ to ⋆⋆⋆⋆
I would recommend this if you are concern about comfort and prefer something less outstanding.

Beauty Reads
Since the system is down and no work could be done at this point of time, I am sharing some of the beauty blog sites that I frequent most. Although many of the sites are not based in Singapore, some of the tips are still relevant.
1) http://www.totalbeauty.com/
... has everything under the sun. It is almost like a wikipedia for everything related to beauty.
2) http://makeupforlife.net/
Makeupforlife does makeup tutorials, reviews and trends to watch for.
3) http://beautypointofview.com/
I enjoy beautypointofview for its clean cut layout and conciseness.
That's all for today, I am going to try out more of my Japanese makeup buys and do reviews just for the record. ;)

Loveil Lenses: Brown Mirage & Ash Grege
Review: Japanese Contact Lenses
So in the midst of dealing with my post
holiday blues, I shall do a review of my recent beauty hauls from
various drugstores in Japan, one at a time.
Japanese drugstores has a massive collection of
makeup, skincare and beauty products enough to drain half my
traveling funds, if not more.
I have been a contact lens wearer for a
decade. As far as colored contact lenses are concern, I find it
almost impossible to purchase one in mortar shops which provides good amount of comfort, preferred diameter as well as the balance of
colors which fit my eyes naturally.
I usually get my contacts online
because those from shops are either pricey, uncomfortable, or too
small in diameter.
Don Quixote have a fair collection of
cosmetic lenses and the selection is fantastic especially if you do
not have any prescription. There are more choices for lenses without
prescription but also a fair bit for the ones with prescription.
I decided to pick a chocolate color and
grey color, my preferred choice of colors for cosmetic lenses.
Comfort: As these are dailies they are far more comfortable than any monthly or yearly lenses, generally speaking.
Size: The diameter of 14.2mm is just right for me as I prefer something not too large (unnatural) or something too obscure. I do like some enlarging effect.
Color:
(BROWN MIRAGE) The lenses has a lovely brown rim which I prefer as suppose to a black rim because brown appears less harsh, and has a more gradual effect. The color stood out to me as chocolatey brown, as advertised. The overall effect is relatively natural and close to what I was expecting.

(ASH GREGE) Speaking from the countless
pairs of colored contacts I have tried and spent my money on, grey
lenses are usually more dramatic in comparison to browns and hazels. For Loveil, this is not an exception. The grey is however, not piercing bright, which ranks high on subtlety compared to
many others I have seen. Loveil Ash Grege is a refreshing change for folks
who wants a dash of color without compromising the wearable factor.
Overall: ⋆⋆⋆⋆
The only qualm I have is not buying
more. They are absolutely natural and great for everyday wear.
